3 countries in 3 days!

We spent most of the day traveling today and were in three countries during a 10-hour period -- a record for me!

We left Austria around 11:30 a.m. and caught a one-hour train to Bratislava, Slovakia. We spent about three hours exploring the city. One observation from Bratislava: The people love Top 40 U.S. music from a couple of years ago. We heard this music many times as we explored the city, from the bus station to the restaurant where we had lunch. I didn't take many pictures today, but here are a couple from the city.

After leaving Bratislava, we took another train to Budapest, Hungary. We arrived a little after 7 p.m. but it took longer than we thought to get some Hungarian currency and figure out how to get to the metro, as there are a lot of renovations underway at the train station. Eventually, we made it to the hostel office. We are actually staying in a small one room apartment a short walk from the hostel that has a small kitchen. It is probably the best place we have stayed since we arrived.

We went out for a late dinner, which was great. Here is a picture from dinner:

Tomorrow we will explore Budapest and visit some Roman baths.

¡Hasta pronto!
